The Family Court Professional Collaborative (FCPC) is a not-for-profit organization made up of a diverse group of professionals working together to support the goals of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit. Attorneys, mental health professionals, financial advisors and members of the judicial system meet to discuss ideas and develop innovative approaches to the complex issues of Family Law so that the Twelfth Judicial Circuit can better assist families through the process.

 

The group began on the New College campus under the leadership of Judge Scott Brownell and Dr. Debra Carter who wanted to join leading professionals from within the circuit. While working under the guidance of Judge Lee Haworth and in cooperation with the Supreme Court mandated Family Law Advisory Group, FCPC’s leaders have striven to create an organization that can best meet the needs of the Courts, legal community and the citizens of the counties in which we serve.

 

Today the group has grown to over 125 members. Through our Conference, Committees and Programs, we continue our dedication to the complex issues facing our industry. The monthly meetings are currently held at 8:00 am at the Selby Auditorium on the University of South Florida Sarasota Campus and are open to the public. The next meeting is scheduled for November 21, 2008.
